KIDD, ELLEN O. - age 85, of Rockford, died Sunday, October 8, 2000, at home. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Rockford. Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mattie Lepley of Chattanooga; husband, John Wesley Kidd, Sr. of Walland; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: children, Joyce Webber of Rockford, Charles Wilson and wife Susie of Knoxville, John Kidd and wife Debra of Seymour, Janace Teffeteller of Walland, Joseph Kidd and wife Lisa of Walland, and James O. Kidd of Walland; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Special friend, Carolyn Midgette of Boliva, N.C.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2000, in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary withRev. A. J. Crawford officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2000, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
