(November 23, 1961 - February 18, 2013)
U.S. Veteran Sgt. Toni Lea Loveday, age 51, of Maryville, passed away suddenly at home, Monday, February 18, 2013. She was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served with the 278th RCT – CST – Operation Iraqi Freedom. She served with the Blount County Sheriff’s Traffic Division, Anderson County Sherriff Department, and Knoxville Police Department. Her loving devotion to her family and friends was steadfast and her faith and trust allowed her to fully live life well. Recent health issues increasingly limited her life but not her spirit and good humor. She was a beautiful incarnation of compassion, patience, and commitment. She will be very much missed by those who knew her. “Sargent Toni Lea Loveday is a Hero.” She was preceded in death by her father, Tony Greene; mother, Carolyn Reneau Wilhite; and sister, Lisa Greene. She is survived by her family and friends: husband, James Loveday; mother-in-law, Annette Loveday; special cousin, Teresa Kelley; and special friends and caregivers, Lisa and Jeff Boling, Bridget Boling, Chris Boling, and Brook Belcher. Special thanks to Nicki Weth and Marsha Blevins of the Department of Veteran’s Affairs; Jeff Beavers and Staff of Home Helper of East Tennessee; and to all the service members with whom she proudly served our country. In lieu of flowers, please send all donations to Disabled American Veterans, 2600 Holbrook Dr., Knoxville, TN 37918, (865) 689-7789.
