NEFF, CARL M. - age 74 of Powell, went home to be with the Lord August 9, 2003 after a long battle with cancer. He left this life peacefully with his family by his side. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Powell. Mr. Neff was a retired employee of Y-12 in Oak Ridge where he worked as a chemist and supervisor for 44 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie. He is survived by his daughters, Vickie Smith and Linda Malin son in law Buddy Malin brother and sister in law, Wayne and Linda Neff grandchildren, Jason Smith, Adam, Savannah and Aaron Malin and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Monday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. Clarence Sexton officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the W. Adair entrance to Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment service. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
