She was a member and past president of the Business and Professional Women's Club, a member and past president of the Quota Club, and a member of the Modern Portia Book Club. Preceded in death by husband, John R. Whaley, Sr. and parents O.T. and Mary M. Sexton. Survivors Sons: John R. Whaley, Jr. and Richard L. Whaley Daughter-in-law: Patsy Whaley Grandchildren: John (Jack) R. Whaley, III and wife, Dottie-FL; Richard (Rick) L. Whaley and wife, Penny-Maryville; Melissa W.
