He attended Wheat High School, was a veteran of WW II, and retired from Union Carbide K-25. Preceded in death by his parents Walter H. and Cillar Hamilton; sisters, Lelia Roberts, Kate Prichard, Ruby "Dink" Hamilton and brother Elmer Hamilton. Survivors: wife of 64 years Priscilla May Hamilton of Harriman; daughter & spouse Patricia & Doug Purdy of Englewood; granddaughter & spouse Heather & Brian Hall of Hendersonville; great grandchildren Sydney Aliza, Willa Grace, Copper Wyatt Hall; brothers Geveral & wife Polly Hamilton of Knoxville, W.H. & wife Wanda Hamilton of Kingston; brother in law & wife George W. & Carolyn May; sister in law & husband Frances & Dempsey Bridges; a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Monday February 28 at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman.
