Spangler, age 73 of Knoxville passed away Sunday July 12, 2009. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, American Legion Post 278 and DAV Post #24. Preceded in death by parents, Bryant and Lora Spangler, brothers, Edward, Albert, Robert, Gerald and Leon Spangler, sisters, Estellena Bruce and Leola Norton and a very special grandson, Austin David England. Survived by children, Joan Dinehart and husband Michael, Mike Spangler and wife Regina, Steve Spangler and wife Ginger, Rodney Spangler and wife Sandy, Rhonda England and husband Lance, grandchildren, Joshua, Tonya, Jamie, Cody, Caylee, Ashley, holly, Logan, Brandon and Evan, many great grandchildren, sisters, Beatrice Whitted and Elzora Thompson, several nieces and nephews. Service, 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Rev. Lester Mullins and Chaplin Bob Mize officiating. Family and friends will meet at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 1:30 p.m., Thursday for an interment service. Pallbearers; Robbie Thompson, Kevin Spangler, Ricky and Kenny Whitted, Chuck Rickey and Doug Clark. Military Honors provided by Volunteer State Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
