Wilson, 59, of Seymour passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at UT Medical Center. He was born in Ft. Knox, KY on September 16, 1956. Wilson proudly served for 6 years in the U. S. Army and retired from the National Guard after 25 years. He was always a fixture at the baseball field. Jim enjoyed watching the Tennessee Bash play. He also enjoyed watching the Seymour Boys Basketball team on Saturdays. He loved his grandkids dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Katherine Wilson; brothers, Robert and Ronnie Wilson; and sister, Pat Mullins. Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathy Wilson; daughters, Lori (Josh) Woods, and Jamie (Stan) Pennington; grandkids, Lil Stan and Sarah Pennington, and Jacob Woods; 4 brothers; 1 sister; and several special friends. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all the staff at UT Medical Center for their great comfort and care. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday with the memorial service to follow at 7 PM at Atchley's Seymour Chapel, 122 Peacock Court, Seymour, TN.
