Anna Marie Myers Hulen, of Knoxville, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 after a year long courageous battle with cancer. Anna lived life with a passion and a dedication to Christ. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and had a special gift for making every person feel important and every occasion festive. Many admired her cherished love and devotion to her husband, C.J., the two were sweethearts for 53 years and married for 49 of those years. Anna was a Christian for 57 years and instilled godly values in her children. She was a member, Sunday school teacher and church treasurer of Son Light Baptist Church from the church’s inception. Prior to joining Son Light Baptist, she was a member of New Beverly Baptist Church for 35 years where she served as a Sunday school teacher, church treasurer, Vacation Bible school director and choir director. She also served as principal of New Beverly Baptist Christian School for three years. She was an accomplished singer/songwriter and her love of music began at a young age. She sang in various churches and on local television and radio programs. She also wrote many songs, plays and poems to glorify God. Preceded in death by father, Rev. Roy T. Myers, mother in law, Lennie G. Peters, son, R. Tyson Hulen and brother, Roy T. Myers, Jr. She is survived by her husband, C.J. Hulen, son, John Hulen and wife Marti, daughter, Sherrie Hulen Williams and husband, Scott, grandchildren, Laura, Katie and Jennifer Hulen, Cameron and Blake Williams, mother, Mrs. Ruby Myers, sister, Beverly Sawyer and husband Rev. Eddie Sawyer, brother, Rev. Eddie Myers and wife Dorothy, other family members Carolyn and Shandie Norris, best friend, Gina Horsley and husband, David along with nieces, nephews and other precious relatives. Service: 8:00 p.m., Friday, Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel, Fountain City, Rev. Clyde Lakin, Rev. Wayne Lay and Dr. Hollie Miller officiating. Family and friends will meet, 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City and proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for interment at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers: Johnny Denton, Ronnie Seagle, Buford Watson, Derek Watson, Paul Helton, John Stansberry, Robert Wrinkle and Rob Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be male members of Son SeekersSunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel
