She was the daughter of the late Arnold Theodore (Ted) Kitts and Welmia Bernice (Welch) Kitts. She was married 16 years to Ronald Eugene Kitts of Maynardville. They have two children, Randy Kitts and Glenn Kitts; grandchildren, Richie, Austin, Michael and Samuel; many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
