Reva Marie (Campbell) Butler, age 80 of Newport went to be with Jehovah, our Lord and Savior on October 25, 2007 at the Baptist Convalescent Center with her family at her side. She was born August 27, 1927 in Cocke County, TN. Reva took great pride in her family. She retired from Cone Textile Mill in Greensboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Butler; her father, Samuel Campbell; her mother, Sarah (Barnes) Campbell; her son, Steven Gerald Ramsey; and her step-daughter, Alma Dean Butler. She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary (Albert) Raines; her son, Larry (Linda) Gray; her step-daughter, Sue (Harve) Hartsell; and her stepsons, Carrol (Barbara) Butler, Charles Butler, Leon (Wilma) Eslinger, and Randall (Lou Ella) Butler. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Miller, Harold Hunt, Steven Hunt, Lamar (Sheila) Gray, Shawna Gray, Shala Gray, and many step-grandchildren. Her great-grandchildren include, Brandi Miller, Jonathan (Jennie) Miller, Addison Gray, Megan Ashby, Amy Frye and Jullian Naylor and her great-great-granddaughter, Sara Miller. Her brothers, Hubert (Willie Mae) Campbell, Ervin Campbell, Gene Campbell, Adam Campbell and her sisters, Bernice Turrill, Viola Lewis, and Brenda King. Her special friends Violet Rutherford and Donna Jean Adkins. Special thanks to Brandi Miller and Steven Hunt for the special care they gave to her and to the Baptist Convalescent Center and Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice. The family received friends Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. Private services at a later date. Browns Funeral Home in charge.
