Darrell Edward ‘Pete’ Underwood, age 58, of Maryville, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a friend to everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lucille Underwood; nephew, Michael Parrott. Survivors include his daughter, Bobbi Jo Lynch; sons, Brandon and Trevor Underwood; special nieces, Elizabeth Hudgens, Tabitha Underwood; grandchildren, Brooke and Carter Lynch; sisters, Sherry Underwood, Hazel Green, and Pauline Mattox; special friends, Jimmy Hatcher and Leann Lambert; nieces, Tammy Charlton, Teresa Duggan, Sarah Stafford; nephews, Todd Parrott, Shane Green; several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, in the Dotson Wildwood Chapel with the Rev. Doug Hair and the Rev. Doug Tipton officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery, Rockford. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Dotson Funeral Home.
