LESLIE, DAVID FRANKLIN, SR. - age 60, of 853 Acorn Gap Road, Madisonville, passed away 9:35 A.M. Monday, April 26, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. David served as elder and lifelong member of New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He proudly served three tours of duty in Vietnam along with veteran brothers Bobby Greene and Wayne Cain. Retired from ALCOA as a potroom supervisor. Survivors: wife of 37 years: Brenda Taylor Leslie daughter & son-in-law: Diane & Victor DeLeon, Sevierville son & companion: David F. Leslie Jr., and Karen Vespie, Madisonville beloved grandsons: Samuel & Isaiah DeLeon mother: Mae Mangis Leslie, Madisonville sisters & brother-in-law: Brenda Leslie, Madisonville, Judy & Ed Layman, Sevierville brothers & sisters-in-law: Ross & Pam Leslie, Kenneth & Sandy Leslie, all of Maryville, Gene & Faye Leslie, Jim & Zelma Leslie, Bob & Gloria Leslie, Roy Allen (Slick) & Donna Leslie, all of Madisonville several nieces & nephews and extended family. Preceded in death by father, Pryor Brakebill Leslie, brother, Donnie Reed Leslie. Funeral 11:00 A.M. Thursday, New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Rev. David Koopman & Rev. Bob Lockwood officiating. Interment in church cemetery with military honors provided by Sweetwater VFW Post 5156. Family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
