WHITEHEAD , BEA C. - age 74 of Friendsville moved to Heaven at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday April 18 , 2000 . He retired from Alcoa with more than 46 years of service and was a member of the 25 year club. He fought for our freedom in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of Mountain View Masonic Lodge #519 F&AM. His passions included family, music, and nature. His parents, Walter and Florence Whitehead; three sisters, Mina Self, Carrie and Oma Whitehead; brother, Rev. Lewis Whitehead; sister in law, Alice Whitehead; and one infant daughter precede him in earthly death. Survivors include wife of forty years, Imogene J. Whitehead; son, and best friend, Michael A. Whitehead; brother, Howard Whitehead; brother and sister in law, Harvey and Ila Whitehead; sister, Mollie Buchanan; sister and brother in law, Lona and Arthur Gardner; brother in law, Douglas Self; along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday April 20 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Beecher Whithead officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday April 21 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday April 20 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, Tenn. 983-1000. [S87] Death Certificate.
