Cowden, David Gordon, age 70, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on March 12. He was a member of Second United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by father and mother, Claude and Kathleen Cowden and brother, Ricky Cowden.
Survivors
Survivors include: wife, Katherine; sister, Sue Renfro; brothers, Wayne Cowden, Charles Cowden and wife Audrey; special friend and sister-in-law, Maxine Taliaferro; all his co-workers at Advent Electric; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and pets, Sam and Scratch.
Service
Friends may call at their convenience Saturday and the family will receive friends from 5pm until the 7pm funeral service, officiated by Rev. Bill Stooksbury. Pallbearers will be Jesse Cowden, Mike Burnette, Steven Renfro, Chad Thornell, Brandon Brooks, and Rob Brannan. Family and friends will meet in Lynnhurst Cemetery Sunday 1:45pm for the 2pm interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second UMC, 154 Western Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37921.
