Rev. Clarence Wayne Richardson, age 63 known to his friends and loved ones as Porky, passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side on August 4, 2009. All the angels in heaven were rejoicing knowing they had a new member to sing in the choir, and he is walking around in his golden shoes. He was preceded in death by parents, Amos and Mary Richardson; brothers, Charles, Ray, Donald, and Archie Richardson; sisters, Mary Ruth, Louise, and Joann Richardson. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 45 years, Linda (Gribble) Richardson, son and close friends, Charles Richardson, Jackie and Wilma; daughters and son in laws, Rebecca and Ronnie Dyer, Joann and Dubby Cardin; grandson, Blaine Felty, great grandchildren, Cadence and Hunner Cardin; brother Troy Richardson; sister in law, Louvada and James Ott. Also we would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the nurses of 5 East and other staff at Blount Memorial Hospital, Blount Home Equipment, Blount Memorial Home Health, and a very special thanks to Dr. Mark Cooper, and staff at Thompson Oncology Group and to Shawn his home health nurse. To all the friends and church family of Community Baptist Church your were truly loved. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday August 8, 2009 at Community Baptist Church, Rev. Clyde Mellon and Rev. Carl McGill officiating. Interment service will follow at Clark’s Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to Shriners Childrens Hospital or St. Jude or Muscular Dystrophy.
