Agnes Irene Spiva Gribble, born February 12, 1924 in Englewood, Tennessee, went home to be with her Good Lord on Sunday, June 07, 2009 at her little home. She was a member of Riverview Missionary Baptist Church for over sixty years. Her loving and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by loving husband of sixty years, Othel Gribble; sister, Edna Boling; brothers, J.D. Spiva, Robert Spiva, and Charles Spiva; parents, Lonnie and Maggie Buckner Spiva ; and son-in-law, Eddie Edington. She is survived by her daughters, Louvada “Edington” Ott and husband, James Ott; Linda Richardson and husband, Rev. Clarence Richardson; grandchildren, Jimmy and Ronda Edington, Charles Richardson, and Becky and Ronnie Dyer; great-grandchildren, Joann and Dubby, Blaine, Faith and Nathanael; great-great-grandchildren, Cadence and Hunner; sisters, Nina Ruth Cobb of Newport, Charlotte Williamson of Rockford, Helen Bullen of Rockford; brother, Theodore Spiva of Rockford; sister-in-law, Deloris Spiva; best friend, Mary Reneau; best neighbor, Connie Dyell; and a great number of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Blount Memorial Hospice and Home Health. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Riverview Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Vittetoe officiating. The interment will follow at Clark’s Grove Cemetery with special friend Steve Poplin officiating.
