WATSON, LENA CARDIN - age 100, widow of Ross Watson, of Madisonville, passed away 4:43 P.M. Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Wood Presbyterian Home. Oldest member of the First United Methodist Church of Madisonville. Worked many years for Johnson Dept. Store and the fabric store. Loved to volunteer to work the elections. Survivors, daughter, Myrna Sharpe, Huntsville, AL; daughter-in-law, Faye Watson, Madisonville; grandchildren, Kim Townson, Madisonville, Cyndia S. Lindberg, Atlanta, GA, Jonathan Sharpe, Huntsville, AL, Alan Watson, Murfreesboro; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Layman, Jessie Gibson, Glenna Hicks, all of Madisonville; several nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by son, Kennard Watson, parents, D.W. & Della Cardin, sister, Edith Long, brothers, Ruel & Raymond Cardin, son-in-law, Max Sharpe. Funeral 7 P.M. Thursday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Braxton Cotton & Rev. Carl Croft officiating. Interment 11 A.M. Friday, Chestua Methodist Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-7 P.M. Thursday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
