Jeffery T. Gregg, age 33 of Newport formerly of Greeneville, died Wednesday, September 18, 2007 at his home. He was an employee of Lectrochem in Greeneville. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Geneva and Leroy Davis; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ginny and Larry Crum of Limestone, Neshia Gregg of Newport, Vickie and David Wilson of Newport, Susie and Reece Wilson of Newport, Sharon and Russell Ottinger of Newport, Celia and Ronnie Godfrey of Newport, Robin and Gary Baxter of Cosby, Paula and Russell Ball of Cosby, Vickie and Gene Josey of Del Rio, and Joy and William Arterburn of Midway; brothers and sisters-in-law, Andy and Celia Smith of Greene County, Johnny and Linda Smith of Greene County, Brian and Leah Gregg of Newport, Kevin and Angela Gregg of Newport; a special aunt, Wanda Wisecarver; special nieces and nephews, Zackery Crum of Limestone, John Smith of Bybee, David Wilson of Newport, Heather Crum of Limestone, Brandy Wilson of Newport and Jessica Bitner of Limestone; several other nieces and nephews; a great-nephew, Jesse Hooker of Newport; and his former wife, Marion Gregg of Greeneville. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Gregg; a half-sister, Kathy Mitchell; and a stepfather, Frank Cutshall. At Mr. Gregg’s request his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Rose Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Brown officiating. Interment will be held in River Hill Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Saturday preceding the service at Rose Hill Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the Gregg family at www.rosehillfuneralhome.com.
