GREENEVILLE––Charlie Hubert Jordan, 76, of Poplar Springs Road, Greeneville, a retired construction supervisor with Simpson Construction Co. and farmer, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 11, 2007, at his residence. He was an active member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He had a love for farming and his farm animals. He was a fun loving person who always made friends wherever he went. His love for children was evident by the number of children who were always near. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Beatrice Johnson Jordan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Horace “Hank” and Mickey Jordan, of Washington County, and Roosevelt and Kay Jordan, of Jefferson County; sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Jack Zampedri, of Hamblen County; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Max and Nancy Johnson, of Cocke County; J.T. and Mildred Smith, of Newport, Michigan; Anita Clark, of Greene County; Lucille Jordan, of Greeneville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Charlie and Selma Kitts Jordan and was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, Hal, Jack, and Coy Jordan, and three sisters, Bonnie Thornburg, Christine Hinkle, and Mary Ragan. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2007, at Kiser Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim fain and the Rev. John Manning officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Franklin, Carl Belcher, Jonathan Tweed, Kyle Wills, James Whittenburg, Bob Myers, Gene Piscitelli, and Wimpy Southerland. Honorary pallbearers will be Kathleen Hutton Sunday School Class of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, Dr. A.K. Sen and “Charlie’s Angels,” Dr. Jeffery Clark and staff, friends and neighbors. The body is at Kiser Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Friday.
