GRIZZLE, TILFORD C. ( TIP ) - age 80, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Brakebill Nursing Home. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving as a Master Sergeant in Korea and also in Germany. He retired from Lay's Packing Company and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Grizzle was preceded in death by: his wife, Virginia M. Grizzle parents, William Edward and Hattie Farmer Grizzle sister, Edith Grizzle Parrott brother, Robert Edward Grizzle and grandson, Timothy Grizzle. He is survived by: his loving daughters and their husbands, Virginia and Ken Nipper, Harriet and John Hartman both of Knoxville son and wife, Gary E. and wife Kathye Grizzle of New Market, TN. three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren brother and his wife, William Mack and Glena Grizzle of Knoxville special sister-in-law, Lydia Moore, niece and her husband, Nancy and Harrison Hill of Maryville, TN. special friends, the Fred O. Scott Family, W.G. and Linda Bradshaw, Walter and Melissa Law and Martha and Rachel Law and a special neighbor, Pat Reed, all of Knoxville, TN. and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at Highland West Memorial Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service on Friday, September 16, 2005 with David Matthews officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by Volunteer State Honor Guard. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff of Brakebill Nursing Home. Arrangements are by Highland Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations-588-0567.
