GERBER , JUANITA G. - 88, passed away January 9, 2006 at NHC Nursing Home of Oak Ridge. Born in Maryville, TN , she was the daughter of the late Otha A. Gibson, Sr. and Dannie Webb Gibson. She attended Maryville College and the University of Tennessee with academic emphasis on English and Applied Arts/Art Education. An Oak Ridger since 1945, she retired from the Information Department at Union Carbide in 1975. She was a charter member of the Tennessee Rug Study Group. She was also a member of the Southern Highland Handicrafts Guild, Tennessee Valley Handspinners and Mid-west Weaver's Guild. She and her late husband, Frederick Gerber , were members of the Foothills Craft Guild, She was a Life member of the Community Craft Cooperative, Norris, TN . Survived by sons, Michael Baker (Karen), Mark Baker, Herbert Bowden daughter, Belinda Aurin (Ralph), all of this area grandchildren, Joni Fowler (Gene) Georgetown, KY, Jeana Reidl (Dan), Blythewood, SC, Craig Aurin (Wendie) Oak Ridge, Amy Sanders (Trey) Marietta, GA, Brad Baker (Angela), Kim Hawks (Terry), Melanie Niblick (Jay), Knoxville, and Anville Gardiner, Claxton nineteen great-grandchildren special friends Teresa Toomey and Mildred Bailey of Oak Ridge and Ophylene Cantrell sisters, Margaret Young of Oak Ridge, Willodene Mills (Avery) of Maryville brothers Otha Gibson, Jr. (Sue) of Knoxville, Jim Gibson (Roxie) of Nashville, Bill Gibson (Wanda) of Kingsport and several nieces and nephews all survive. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Interment in the memorial gardens. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made to the Memorial Gardens Fund, St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 212 N. Tulane Ave., Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Arrangements by Weatherford Mortuary.
