Blazier, Mary Kate Bailey, age 83, of South Knoxville, passed away at 4:00 PM Friday, September 7, 2007 at UT Hospital. She was a retired Knox County School Bus owner for 30 years. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Preceded in death by father and mother, Andrew Bailey Sr. and Rozella Bailey Henry; step-father, Edith Rhea Henry; brothers, Andrew Bailey, Jr. and Earl Henry; favorite brother-in-law, Randolph (Dockey) Blazier; son-in-law, James Baxter.
Survivors
Special friend and companion of 61 years, husband Mayford Blazier whom she affectionately referred to as Sunshine; children: Donald Blazier, Terry Blazier and wife Linda; Gail Blazier and Sharon Baxter; grandchildren: Michelle White and husband, Brandon; Crystal Baxter and Patrick Baxter; great-grandchild, Braxton Stone White; sisters: Lillian Cates and husband George; Joanna Hodges and Edith Rhea Webster and husband Allen; brothers Burl Henry and wife Helen; sisters-in-law, Sue Henry and Dean Bailey; several special nieces and nephews; special friends and caregivers that loved her dearly, Billie Proffitt that took excellent care of Mom and her family; Billie’s husband John and daughter and son-in-law, Jen and Todd and their children, Melodie and Tyler; Johnny and family; Todd and Terry; Mary Ruth Johnson and Sharon and Phil Hatcher. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, East Region, 4708 Papermill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37909 or the American Diabetes Association, 211 Center Park Drive Suite 3010, Knoxville, TN 37922 in memory of Mary Blazier and Jim Baxter or in honor of Mayford and Terry Blazier.
