Vernon Howard Wilson, age 82, of Seymour, passed away Monday, August 27, 2007,
at his home with his family by his side. He was a member of First United Methodist Church
in Sevierville, TN. He was a member of the Le Roy Masonic Lodge in Le Roy Illinois and a member of the Rotary Club in Center Texas and Memphis, TN. He was an Air Force Veteran having served 3 years in the 7th Airborne in the Atlantic and Pacific Campaigns of WWII.
Survivors:
Wife of 59 years: Katherine Wilson
Daughter and son-in-law: Julia and Roger Sexton
Grandchildren: Rachel Nielsen, Eric Nielsen, Will Sexton, Maia Sexton, Sarah Sexton Hirchhorn, and Andy Sexton.
Great-grandchild: Lio Carlos Aguirre
Brothers: Harry Wilson and wife Fairy May of Illinois, Ralph Wilson and wife Lucy of Texas.
Sister: Evelyn Hendron and husband Bud of Illinois
Many Loving Nieces and Nephews in Illinois and Texas
Special Friends: Clinton C. Thomas, Steve and Janet Melching of Florida, and a host of friends and loving neighbors.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 409 North Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37919.
Memorial service 7PM Friday in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with the Rev. Gene Barker
