Charles A. "Chuck" Halmontaller, 53, of Crossville, passed away May 16, 2006.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 18, at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Hood
Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Jones officiated. Graveside committal will be Friday,
May 19, at 10 a.m. at Mayland Cemetery. Family received friends Thursday from
5-7 p.m., two hours prior to the service.
Mr. Halmontaller was born Nov. 18, 1952 in Manchester, TN, the son of Paul
and Minnie Wright Halmontaller. He graduated from the University of Tennessee
with a degree in animal science and worked as an agricultural manager. He was
also a member of the Plateau Missionary Baptist Church and an Eagle Scout. He
was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman, trapper and was involved in all
aspects of nature. He was a spiritual man who was dedicated to God and his church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Nancy Halmontaller; son,
Ryan M. Halmontaller; daughter, Ashley S. Halmontaller; grandchildren (by Ashley), Bailey and
Jace Asberry, all of Crossville; brother, Tommy Halmontaller of Manchester, TN;
and sister, Nina Coppinger of Hixson, TN.
The family has respectfully asked that memorials be made to Plateau Missionary
Baptist Church, c/o Audrey Reppert, Treasurer, 595 Jr. Camp Rd., Monterey, TN 38574.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC was in charge of the arrangements.
