CRISP , WILLARD O. - age 78 of Maryville, passed away Sunday evening September 16, 2001 at the family home. Member of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church. Veteran of the US Army having served during World War II. Preceded in death by parents, Charlie & Allie Law Crisp ; sisters, Myrtle, Ethel, Florence, Thelma; brothers, Lloyd, and Estel. Survivors: wife of 51 years, Bertha Chambers Crisp ; daughters and sons in law, Connie & Paul Meadows, Debbie & Dan Mullinax, Velva & Ernie Herin all of Maryville; sons & daughters in law, Danny & Sharon Crisp , Ronnie & Tina Crisp all of Maryville; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister in law, LaVerne Harrill of Maryville; former daughters in law, Chris Sands of Maryville, Barbara Crisp of Cleveland; former son in law, James Birl of Kokomo, Ind.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8 p.m. Tuesday September 18, 2001 at Knob Road Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Jerry Little, Rev. Lester Allmon, Rev. Darrell Croft officiating. Interment 3 p.m. Wednesday at Old Kagley's Cemetery with military honors provided by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. The body will be at Knob Road Missionary Baptist Church, 2023 Knob Rd., Maryville after 2 p.m. Tuesday where friends may call at their convenience. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
