Hoover was a Christian husband and father. He was a longtime member of Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church, Knoxville. He was the last surviving son of Pink and Naomi Anderson. Hoover cared for his family deeply and will be missed. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Emma Jane Anderson; and son-in-law, Tom E. Mize. Survivors: Daughters and son-in-law, Janis and Bill Russell of Kodak, and Kay Mize of Knoxville; Granddaughter, Rebekah Russell Moore and husband, Adam; Great-granddaughter, Brylie Moore; Many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity or church of your choice. Family and friends will meet at 11 AM Thursday, November 10th in Edgewood Cemetery for the graveside service and interment. Pastor Richard Compton and Pastor Brandon Cate will officiate.
