Horner, William Clarence (Chick) -age 92, of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2002, at Baptist Hospital. Retired from Palm Beach Co. after 42 years of service where he was a supervisor. He was a member of South Knoxville Baptist Church and had served as a deacon and a member and past president of the Gideons. Survivors Survivors include wife of 70 years, Ruth Newman Horner; daughter, Cynthia Turner; sons, Gordon Reed Horner and Joseph Horner and wife, Kay; grandchildren, Katrina Fox and husband, James, Wendell Horner and wife, Allison, Herbert Horner and wife, Kelly, Jeff Turner and wife, Wendy, Greg Turner, and Andy Turner; great grandchildren, Rene Lee and husband, Mitch, Daniel Horner, Samuel Horner, Matthew Horner, Katie Horner, Haley Horner, Jeremy Turner, Justin Turner, Cali Turner, Jordan Turner; and great-great granddaughter, Anna Lee. Service Funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, Berry Chapel, with Rev. David Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Knoxville Baptist Church, 522 Sevier Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920, or to the Gideons, P.O. Box 31511, Knoxville, Tennessee 37930-1511. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
