Donald Edwards Rochat- Born April 12, 1945, Don went to Heaven March 9, 2008. He lived in Knoxville all his life, graduated from Central High School and UT, proudly served his country in the U.S. Army where he received the Bronze Star for Meritorious Achievement in Ground Operations Against Hostile Forces. He was active in reunions of his comrades-in-arms, especially The Big Red One reunions. He spent 22 years with Shoney’s, where he was loved and respected by many workers and guests. Preceded in death by his father, Claude Emile Rochat.

Survivors: Wife, Kristy Newman Rochat; Mother, Mary Edwards Rochat; Daughter, Emilee Marie Dockery; Grandson, Jarred Ashton Dockery; Niece, Mitzi Rochat Kiefer; and Brother, Claude Richard Rochat.
Service
The family will receive friends Thursday, 6-8 p.m., at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, with funeral service to follow, Rev. Sean White and Rev. Max Reddick officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:15, Friday at Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery for a 1:30 p.m. interment. The family welcomes donations made in memory of Mr. Rochat to Fountain City Presbyterian Church, 500 Hotel Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37918, (865) 688-2163.
