Imogene (Dorsey) Keckler of Purdy MO passed away on Aug. 21, 2007, at home. She was born Nov. 8, 1928 in Cosby TN, the daughter of Bruce and Virgie (Gunter) Dorsey. She had lived in MO since the 1970's. She was preceded in death by her husband John Keckler, her sisters, Frances Settlemyre, Pauline Smith, Rena Arp, and Gladys Darter, her brother Edward Dorsey, and her granddaughter Lindy Hall. She leaves her two sons, John Keckler II and James Keckler, both of Purdy MO, her sister Shirley McMillen of Newport, her brothers Harold Dorsey of Cosby and Wayne Dorsey of Gatlinburg, three grandsons and one granddaughter, all in MO, several cousins in TN, and many nieces and nephews across the U.S. Jean leaves a legacy of joy. Her joy was her strength, and it touched many lives around her. She was a member of New Freedom Church in Purdy, and her great faith was her treasure. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, crocheting, and cooking, and also loved music. A graveside service was held Aug. 25, 2007 at Arnhart Cemetery, Purdy MO.
