Mildred Ann Smith age 90, resident of Louisville, TN was received home in the loving arms of her Savior on Tuesday May 12, 2015. She was a graduate of Everett High School class of 1942 and retired from Levis Strauss in Alcoa after 23 ½ years. She was the longest term member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Louisville. She was a 50+ year member of the Mary Blount Chapter #133 Order of Eastern Star. Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Dialtha Price Smith, brother Hilbert Smith, sisters Vivian Dahlstrom, Ruth Fant, Dorothy Reagan and Irma Mertes, son-in-law Verlin Tucker. She is survived by her husband of 69 years William Francis Smith, son and daughter-in-law Robert and Debbie Smith of Louisville, daughter Jean Tucker of Cleveland,Tn., six grandsons and eight great grandchildren, precious caretaker Katie Harness. Funeral service 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Trinity Chapel of Smith Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Becky Smithey and grandson Rev. David Tucker officiating. Family and friends will assemble 10:30 am Thursday, May 14, 2015 at St. Mark's UMC to go in procession to Louisville Cemetery for graveside service and interment at 11:00 am. Mildred's six grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Brian, Kevin and David Tucker and Adam, Daniel and Joseph Smith. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial gifts be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church Compassion Care Ministry, 3359 Louisville Rd., Louisville, Tn. 37777 or Blount Memorial Hospice. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000.

Smith's 65ths
Francis and Mildred Ann (Smith) Smith, of Louisville, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. April 2 at St. Mark’s Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
The couple were married April 1, 1946, at the home of William Hobert Smith, Louisville. The Rev. Burrell Ketchersid officiated.
Their family includes children Jean Tucker, of Cleveland, and husband the late Verlin Tucker, and Robert and wife Debbie Smith, of Louisville. They have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Smith is retired from Rice Chrysler. Mrs. Smith is retired from Levi Strauss.
They are members of St. Mark’s Methodist Church.
