Miss Lisa Dale Eubank, age 54, of Newport, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Newport Medical Center.
She was of the Presbyterian faith.
Miss Eubank was a descendant of the James Swaggerty family, one of Cocke County�s earliest pioneering families, known for their construction Swaggerty Fort at Parrottsville, now on the National Register of Historic Sites.
She was preceded in death by her father George S. Eubank, brother Jeffery A. Eubank, grandparents Harold and Frances Schilz and William R. and Bonnie Eubank, and uncle Mims Eubank.
She is survived by her mother Beatrice Eubank and sister Lauren R. Eubank, both of Newport; aunts Jean Burch and Tuny Wagoner-Eubank, both of Oak Ridge, Arlene Feidt and family of Cherry Hill, NJ, and Sheila Eubank of Knoxville; cousins Jennifer, Zack, and Draven Zackoski. She also leaves behind her special pets, several cats including Roscoe, Bop, and Jonah Jett.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00�7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Union Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment.
