HUFFSTETLER, Martha Jewell Long, age 85, of Maryville went home to be with her Lord Thursday, June 21 2007. She was the daughter of the late John and Susan Long of Maryville. Martha was a wonderful mother who loved her family, friends, church, and community. She was a member of Carpenters United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years. She also attained ''Super Star'' status as a volunteer at Blount Memorial Hospital where her wonderful smile could be seen for 16 years. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Huffstetler, and son Keith Huffstetler. She was also preceded in death by sisters Maude Caldwell, Myrtle Rasor, Georgia Blevins Millsaps, and brothers Andrew Long, James Long, and Clarence Long. She is survived by sons Gordon and wife Joyce of Rockwood, Bill Allen and wife Belinda Sue of Maryville, Riley and wife Judi of Sweetwater, Steve and wife Annette of Sweetwater, Doyle and wife Kim of Maryville and daughters Judy Potter and husband Jim of Maryville, and Janice Tipton and husband Sidney of Maryville. Other survivors include special nephew Ernie Blevins of Maryville, grandchildren Aaron Huffstetler, Cindy Jones, Patti Williams, Karen Potter, Donald Potter, Mark Huffstetler, Megan Huffstetler, Tina Tipton, and Kevin Tipton, all of Maryville, Robert Huffstetler of Sweetwater, TN, Christopher Huffstetler of Athens, TN, Deborah Bernstein of Baltimore MD, and Stephanie Borden of Lakeland TN, and many great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, TN, (865)982-6812, Saturday, June 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm. with the Rev. Ken Tucker and the Rev. Riley Huffstetler officiating.
Family and friends will meet 2:00 P.M. Sunday June 24. at Carpenters Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery for the interment service.
