MURRAY , ERNEST C. JR. - age 77, passed away Friday, December 24, 2004. He was a resident in the Seymour community on Highland View Dr. for 34 years. Ernest was a member of South Knoxville Baptist Church and a World War II Navy veteran serving on the U.S.S. Trinity and was retired from Power Equipment Co., where he worked for over 40 years. Ernest was preceded in death by his son, Todd Murray , parents Ernest Murray , Sr. and Flora Whaley Murray , grandparents John and Donnie Murray and Robert Whaley and Alice Rayfield Whaley, sister Betty Murray Long and brother in law John Lawlor, Sr. He is survived by his loving sons and daughters in law, Ross and Linda Murray and Wade and Angie Murray eight grandchildren and one great grandchild sisters and brothers in law, Corinna Lawlor, Naomi and Alvin Bumpus, Hazel and Jerry Moody, Patricia and Ernest Shawn and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet by 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Tennessee State Veterans' Cemetery on Lyons View Pike for a 1:30 p.m. graveside service with Full Military Honors presented by the Volunteer State Veterans' Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
