October 26, 1931 - August 31, 2017 Anna Mae Finger Cardwell Baker, age 85, of Monroe, Michigan formerly of Friendsville, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her home. She was a member of Friendsville Baptist Church and lead Women's Bible Study. Mrs. Baker was also Secretary/ Treasurer of Miser Station Community Club and was a poll worker for elections. Preceded in death by her father, Gordon R. Finger; mother, Mary E. Finger; husbands, Stevenson M. Cardwell, Jr. and Arthur F. Baker “Ott or Big Moe”; brother, Richard D. Finger; sister and brother-in-law Bonnie L. & Elmer H. Marine; and sons-in-law, Bill Parton and Chris McDowell. Survivors include: children, Gary (Barbara) Cardwell, Dick (Pat) Cardwell, Mary (Gale) Hamilton, and James Cardwell step-daughters, Sonja (Ted) Campbell, Gail (Lester) Shope, Donna Parton, Vickie McDowell, and Kay Baker; grandchildren, Gale Ann (Michael) Nickels, Jennifer (Jodi) Hamilton, Tanya Hamilton, Andrew (Jen) Cardwell, Jefferey (Melissa) Cardwell, Laura Meelyn (Ben) Rosen, Shane Hall, Sharon (Greg) Watson, Billy Parton, Jon Martin, Paul McDowell, Meredith (Shanglee) McDowell, and Rusty (Elizabeth) Keaton; twenty great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby (Farris) Sandefur and Betty (Marvin) Ingalsbe; sisters-in-law- Betsy Finger, Louise Buckingham, Athene Roberts, and Joanne (Haskell) Wells. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Tennessee, 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Pastor Bill Gowder officiating, with interment to follow at Zion Chapel Cemetery.
