Tommy Covington, 93, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ruby Harris Covington. For many years, he was owner and operator of Tommy Covington's Music, he was a music instructor, he played on the Mid Day Merry Go Round. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Covington; granddaughter, Melissa Russell; grandson, Tommy Russell; great-grandchildren, River Barker and Brooke Barker; special life-long friend, Linda Hatcher. Funeral Services will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. LeRoy Prater officiating. The family and friends will meet at noon at Pleasant Hill Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
