Lillie Payne Ellison, age 93, of Newport, formerly of Del Rio, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Ellison; son John E. Ellison; daughter –in-law Diane Ellison, son-in-law Walter O’dell and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Violet O’dell and Dorothy Templin (Harold); sons, Clarence Ellison (Leona) and Leroy Ellison (Olivia), 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, half sister Betty Turner (Lester) along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Haney officiating. The family will meet on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Union Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, prior to the funeral service.
