Mr. John David (Johnny) Ledford age 49 of Newport passed away Friday morning September 5, 2008 at Newport Health and Rehabilitation. Johnny was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Loyd Ledford and Iris Costner Jenkins and brothers, Ivan Ledford and Robert Ledford. Survivors include his brothers, Charles Ledford, Joe Ledford and Bill Ledford all of Newport; sister-in-law, Vange Dalton; nephews, Kip Dalton and Trevor Ledford and aunt, Hestor Holt all of Newport. He also leaves behind several friends. Following cremation provided by Costner-Maloy, a private burial of the cremains will be in Union Cemetery. Arrangements by Costner-Maloy.
