MAPLES, MARTHA CAROLYN LESUEUR - age 83 of South Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Tennova Residential Hospice. Although she was homebound for the past five years, Martha attended Sevier Heights Baptist Church where she was a member for more than twenty-five years. She was a retired employee of Coffin Shoe Company. Preceded in death by her husband, Bill Maples; parents, Harry and Birdie LeSueur; brothers, James (Jimmy), Harry Jr. and Charles LeSueur; sister, Elizabeth; special cousin, Leon Robinson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sandy Maples of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law. Linda and Steve Simpson of Maryville; granddaughter, Amanda; grandson, Josh; special sister-in-law, Pearl LeSueur; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank-you and appreciation for the care and friendship given by Renaissance Terrace, Tennova Residential Hospice and the cancer unit at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service with Reverend Steve Peak officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sevier Heights Baptist Church Homebound Ministry, 3232 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920.
