Jerry Allen (Snake) Gredig, 50, of Friendsville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Metcalf Gredig; sister, Betty Sue Gredig. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Gail Gredig and son, Frank Gredig, both of Friendsville; father, Robert Gredig; brothers, Bobby, Donnie, and Mike Gredig; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Dennis Burchfield, several nieces and nephews, all of Maryville; several special friends. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Charlie Carpenter officiating. The family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at the funeral home to proceed to Union Grove Cemetery for a 11 a.m. graveside service.
