Clyde H. “H.E.” Myers Jr., age 78, of Rockford, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2015. H.E. was retired from Rockford Manufacturing Co. after 48 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Beulah Myers; brothers, Richard Lee Myers and Pleas Myers; sisters, Margaret Watkins and Edna Watkins; brothers-in-law, Jack Everett, Rollie Swafford, and Robert Hutsell; and special friend, Joe Honeycutt. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wilma M. Brown Myers; son and daughter-in-law, Walter Hubert and Judy C. Myers; granddaughter, Sherri Jones; grandson, Walter Michael Myers; great-granddaughter and husband, Ciera and Adam Stephens; great-grandson, Dylan Reese Hill; great-great-granddaughter, Paisley Stephens; great-great-grandson, Levi Stephens; son and daughter-in-law, Roger Dale and Teresa Myers; granddaughter and husband, Amy Shondale and Ryan Craig; grandson, Jeremiah Lynn Myers; granddaughters, Heather Ann Newman and Katylin Noel Myers; great-grandsons, Jaden Trace Myers Swiney and Riley Smith; great-granddaughter, Jayahna Newman; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Kimberly Myers; granddaughter and husband, Bethany and Josh Blair; grandson and wife, Christopher Scott and Marianne Myers; great-granddaughters, Evie Grace Blair and Macie Bree Blair; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sherry Myers; grandson and wife, Bradlee Shane and Christy Myers; grandson, Justin Ryan Myers; sisters, Mattie Hutsell and Charlotte Swafford; sister-in-law, Thula Myers; Brothers-in-law Robert and Fred Watkins, special friends, Ronnie Millsaps, Angelo Arwood; and many other special nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and special friends. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Billy Moore and Rev. B. B. Ratledge officiating. Interment service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday at Ballard’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville. Myerses’ 57th
Clyde H. Jr. and Wilma (Brown) Myers, of Rockford, observed their 57th wedding anniversary July 2. They will celebrate at a later date.
The couple were married July 2, 1955, in Walhalla, S.C. Judge R.C. Carter II officiated.
Their family includes children Walter and wife Judy, of Rockford, Dale and wife Teresa, of Maryville, Randy and wife Kim, of Rockford, Ronnie and wife Sherry, of Maryville. They have nine grandchildren, Beth, Shon, Heather, Michael, Jeremiah, Scott, Shane, Justin and Sherry, and eight great-grandchildren, Jordon, Riley, Dillion, Kathy, Evie, Macie, Jayahna and Ciera.
Mr. Myers is retired from Rockford Manufacturing. Mrs. Myers is retired from Blount Memorial Hospital.
They attend Ballards Chapel.
