BARDILL, JOHN HARWELL - age 94 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord, Friday March 22, 2002. He was a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church where in the past he served as treasurer, deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years. Preceded in death by wife, Ruby R. Bardill. Survivors: son, John Bardill; granddaughter, Wendy Taylor; great granddaughter, Brianne; sister, Katheryn Scarbrough all of Knoxville. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins in Knoxville, Harriman, Wartburg and Johnson City. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rocky Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Roland Smith, Rev. Kern Spangler and Dr. Terry Kirby officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers: Murl Webb, Gene Duncan, Bob Webb, Don Huddleston, Elmer Ashburn, Charles Pless, and Ralph Ownby. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
