  [S142] Newspaper Article. Don L. Ridenour of Blue Island, died Friday, April 20, 1984 at St. Francis Hosp. in Blue Island. He was 78. The son of Chester S. and Inez Hellyer Ridenour, he was born May 25, 1905 in Tipton and had been a Blue Island resident for 36 yrs. He was a conductor for the Rock Island Railroad and had 42 years of service with the Rock Island. He was a veteran of W. W. II having served in the U. S. Army. He was the husband of Margaret (Puls), a brother to living Ridenour, living Goettle, and Lucille Benson. Visitation was held Sunday, April 22, at the Hallinan Funeral Home Blue Island. Graveside services were held on Monday, April 23, at 1 pm at the Durant cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
