  [S142] Newspaper Article. Services for Grace J. Maxon, 81, who died Dec. 26, 1983, will be held Monday at the Springdale Methodist Church. The Rev. Samuel J. Hahn wil officiate. There will be no visitation. Barker Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Maxon was a former resident of West Branch. She war born March 27, 1902, in Tipton, daughter of Chester and Inez Hellyer Ridenour. She graduated from West Liberty high school in 1920 and attended the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls for two years. For many years she was a teacher and cook in Springdale and in Marshalltown. Survivors include two daughters, two brothers, two sisters, 8 grand and 3 great grandchildren. One daughter died earlier.
