Stinnett, John Garland—age 44 of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, May 08, 2007 at U.T. Medical Center as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed by Sea Ray Boats, Inc.
Survivors: wife, Toni Stinnett of Knoxville; daughter, Rachel Stinnett of Sevierville; stepson, Christopher Presley of Knoxville; parents, Charles and Linda Stinnett of Seymour; in-laws, Paul and Glenda Wilson of Knoxville; sister and brother-in-law, Myrene and Ricky Stanley of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Paula Andrew of Knoxville; brother, Mike Stinnett of Knoxville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chuck and Kathy Stinnett of Knoxville, Grady and Stacy Stinnett of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Thursday in Stevens Chapel with Rev. Kemp Wynn officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 9:15 a.m. Friday at Stevens Mortuary to go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service and interment. Pallbearers: Chuck Stinnett, Mike Stinnett, Sergeant Bryan Toth, Tony Meza, Mark Mink, and J.D. Oestriechi, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at N. Broadway.

Motorcyclist dies after crash with truck, other motorcycle One motorcyclist was killed Tuesday morning when he collided with a tractor-trailer truck and was then struck by another motorcycle, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
The victim was identified as John G. Stinnett, 45, of Knoxville.
The second motorcyclist, Bryan K. Toth, 35, was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he was treated and released, according to hospital officials.
KCSO spokeswoman Martha Dooley said Stinnett was westbound on National Drive around 5:42 a.m. when he struck the back of the tractor-trailer, which was pulling out of Ashland Chemical Co. Stinnett's motorcycle was then struck by Toth's motorcycle.
The truck driver, David Berry, 35, was not injured, Dooley said.
