Preceded in death by: husband, Howard Skidmore; father, Gibson Tipton; sister, Nola Coomer. Survivors include: sons, Kenneth Skidmore of Townsend, Don Skidmore of Dandridge; grandchildren, William Skidmore of Maryville, Dale Skidmore of Knoxville; mother, Bertha Tipton of Maryville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harley and Ina Tipton of Dayton, Ohio, and Otis and Teddie Tipton of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace and William Hutsell of Maryville, and Louise and Jim Loans of Hixson, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services at 8 p.m., Friday, December 11, 1998, in the Trinity Chapel with Elder Harold Hunt and Elder Larry Barker presiding. Family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 1998, at Grandview Cemetery for graveside service and interment. Family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m., Friday, December 12, 1998, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
