STEVENS, JAMES MITCHELL "MITCH" - of Mooresburg, Tenn., was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 13, 2004. He was born & raised in Knoxville. He was a member of the Black Oak Heights Baptist Church and honorably served in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary & Emert Huskey and Rosie & Dewey Stevens father, James Harold Stevens sister, Yvonne Moody and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include: mother, Bobbie Steadman of the home grandparents, Pink & Ida Gibson of Seymour sisters, Janice Bishop & Sandra Ganskow, both of Knoxville and Rosemary Ward of Morristown brother, Jeff Stevens of Atlanta, Ga. nephews, Billy Bishop of Rogersville, Brandon & Blake Ganskow of Knoxville, Elija Roberts of Rutledge & Hyden Ortiz of Knoxville nieces, Layla Moody of Knoxville, Jamey Ellis of Blaine, Julie Roberts of Rutledge, Brenee & Bridget Ganskow of Knoxville, Haley & Hannah Bishop of Rogersville step sister and brother, Judy & Gary Cardwell several aunts, uncles, cousins and in laws. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at the Boyds Creek Cemetery in Sevierville, Tenn., with full military honors, the Rev. Lawrence Henegar officiating. McNeil Funeral Home in Mooresburg, Tenn. in charge of arrangements.
