Member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by son, J.C. Steele; parents, Tom and Mae Johnson McCall; sister, Delcia Yates; and brother-in-law, J.R. Kirkland. Survivors: husband, Frank Steele; daughters and sons-in-law, Eleanor and Joe Kirkland of Stockbridge, Ga., Debra and Chuck Cable of Maryville, Symantha and Terry Redwine of Douglasville, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie and Joyce Steele of Maryville; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Ersa Kirkland of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Wallace and Thelma McCall of Maryville; brother-in-law, Ulyess Yates of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8 p.m. Monday, January 4, 1999, at Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tommy Self and Rev. Ralph Patton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
