He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Shirk; father, Paul J. Shelton; grandparents, Ben & Rachael Shelton, Smith Shelton and Geneva Jones. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cindy Shelton of Newport; sons, Paul E. Shelton and Anthony Shelton both of Newport; sister, Sherry Soloman of Dandridge; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gene and Barbara Ellis of Knoxville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Karen Ellis of Newport; sister-in-law, Kim Evans of Newport; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Monday, April 30, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Ricky Foust officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
