RAINWATER, H.P., JR. - age 78 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday evening, January 10, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Member & deacon at Forest Hill Baptist Church; retired from ORNL; veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII. Survivors wife, Louise Myers Rainwater; daughters & sons in law, Gerry & R.L. Grindstaff, Shirley & Roy Stinnett, all of Maryville; sons & daughters in law, Pete & Judy Rainwater, Austin, TX, Randy & Priscilla Rainwater, Maryville; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Edwards, Maryville, Faye Harper, Nashville; several nieces & nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2001, Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Rev. Joe White officiating. Entombment to immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Forest Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 1850 Forest Hill Road, Maryville, Tenn. 37803. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
