December 13, 1913 ~ February 13, 2012 Mr. Albert Shelton, age 98, of Marion, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at Autumn Care of Marion. Mr. Shelton was born in Cocke County, TN on December 13, 1913 to the late George Shelton and Ellen Gates Shelton. He was retired from Henredon Furniture Company for many years and was a member of Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Louvina Shelton and a granddaughter, Sarah Lynn Foster. He is survived by seven children, Everette Shelton and his wife, Alma of Lenoir, Leonard Shelton and his wife, Linda of Granite Falls, Clifford Shelton and his wife, Barbara of Asheville, Ruby Foster and her husband, Raymond of Marion, Junior Shelton and his wife, Juanita of Marion, J.C. Shelton and his wife, Amanda of Marion and Ruth Vance and her husband, Willis of Marion; nineteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church with Revs. Rick Wood and Ricky Mason officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church.
